Lucknow! *sigh*
In the course of 5 years of photographing weddings and candid portraiture, I have done a couple of memorable projects, here in the city, making it really close to my heart. From some of my most chirpy birdie (My term for enthusiastic brides), to some of the most toughest and challenging ones as a candid photographer, this city has witnessed it all with me.
Mannat and Rishabh’s was a high profile wedding with bollywood celebrities adding memories to the special day.
The couple met through their family relations and immediately felt the connection. Mannat contacted me through another gorgeous couple friend whose wedding I had documented in Lucknow a while back and hence, another season of fun and festivity started.
The wedding celebrations was a 4 day affair which started with a Sundowner Mehandi.
The main attraction of the entertainment program, was a Bangle stall which had a clutter of ladies and girls in the function, shining bright with their smiles along with the colourful Chudi's (Bangles). The bride danced whole heartedly bringing out the true essence of the ritual . The rest of the evening was went away in dancing and merry making.
The second day was Engagement ceremony where our lovely pair exchanged rings and wow'ed to be together for life. It was such a pleasure to shoot Mannat and Rishabh and create memorable images for them. They had an easygoing chemistry that made it a breeze to shoot them together! They gave us the patience and time that is rare considering how busy weddings usually are.
The third day started in the morning with the Haldi and the Chura ceremony on both the sides. Mannat’s family were joyful that their daughter was going to be a part of such a warm and loving family. Following evening witnessed the holy union of the stunning couple. The most memorable part of the entire wedding for me will always be the bride in this one. Such a happy lovely face whenever she looked at the camera or even when she didn't. I wish all of us such happy brides and all my brides such happiness too :)
Also, I would love to mention that this is one of my best Night weddings.
The ceremony folded with reception which had, cake cutting and a surprise performance by the Baby doll fame, Kanika Kapoor followed by lots of dancing and gaiety. The star studded wedding was also visited by Vibhav Roy (Nikhil of Gustakh Dil or Ishaan of Doli Armaano ki).
